Swimming Layouts
In almost every gallery you'll find a swimming layout, since we all like to document our summer vacations. Living in hot and sunny Florida means my girls are always taking a dip in the pool, at the beach or at a local water park. We have lots of pictures of the girls swimming, so I'm always looking for different ways and techniques to make my layout look different whether it's adding dimension, using recycled items, or adding funky embellishments. Fun in the Sun - This Echo Park Collection kit is perfect for a swimming layout. I cut out the banner from their cardstock and used 3-D adhesive dots to give my layout dimension.
 - Staying afloat - I wanted my layout to be vibrant so I used the BasicGrey Lime Rickey Collection line. The buttons not only added dimension but also made my layout pop.

- Swimming - For this layout I used bubble wrap to give it a water look. The picture does no justice but when looking at the layout in person you can feel the bubble wrap effect. Also, it's a great way to recycle items we don't need.
 - Blizzard Beach - The setting of this fun park at Disney is a blizzard so I went with a wintery patterned paper to give it a snowy, cold feel.
 - Summer Fun - For this layout I gave it a waterfall feel by using cardstock lace and flowers. The kids were actually in a swimming pool.
 - Fun in the Sun - In this layout I adhered my ribbons in a free-form way to give my layout the feel of motion.
Look through the Scrapjazz gallery; you'll find many fun and inspiring swimming layouts!
