The Echo Park Splash Collection is perfect to scrap any sort of summertime fun. The different blues make it great for creating pages with the gray-blue of the water at the beach to the bright blue of a pool. The yellow and orange color themes are perfect to use for any sunny day layout. The patterns in this kit are fun, and range from large colored polka dots to small colorful fish. Coordinating stickers and journaling cards take the difficulty out of finding the right embellishment for your page.

Tips and Tricks:

  • A dozen of pages can be created from the Echo Park Splash Collection, making it a great deal.
  • The stickers and papers are not only great for layouts but could be used on fun summer cards.
  • Some of these papers would be fun to use on a winter layout. The blues would look fabulous with photos of snow.
  • Creating fun titles is easy with the different alphabets and fun word stickers that are provided in this kit.

In Use:

The first layout I created was a beach-themed page. Everything except for the cardstock was in this kit. I had fun cutting along the fun curvy lines on the Big Wave patterned paper from this collection to ground my photos. I used the photo anchors from the Splash Elements Sticker Sheet, word stickers from the Splash Alphabet Sheet, and a journaling card, and then finished off the layout with a fun title using two different types of Splash Alphabet Stickers.

For the second layout, all elements for the page were from the Splash Collection, with only the addition of white cardstock and brown ink. For the background of the page, I used the light blue side of the Diagonal Stripes patterned paper and layered a torn, inked sheet of white cardstock over it. I used a journaling card as the title block, a decorative square from the Big Stripes patterned paper, a border sticker and journal element from the Splash Element Sticker Sheet and finished off the page with a fun fish border from the Splash Border patterned paper.
