Bowling: 10 Layouts That Will Bowl You Over

by Cindy deRosier (Apr 27, 2012)

Is it any wonder that so many of us love bowling?  Few sports are as easy to learn, yet as difficult to master.  Bowling is affordable and can be done year-round, regardless of weather.  It is great fun for people of all ages.

Take a look at these awesome bowling layouts:

  1. Spare Time by Porkchops_mom - I love the clever title of this layout.  The use of grey and black with little pops of color keeps the focus on the great photos.
  2. This is How It's Done by KariAnn - The focal photo is reason enough to love this layout, but the combination of striped and dotted patterned papers, the fun title, and the supporting photos make it even better.
  3. Bowling by Seatrout - The bright colors and large shapes really catch the eye.  Add in the fact that there are seven photos and a ton of journaling and you have one fabulous page.
  4. Bowling by Randbross - This layout combines six action shots, four patterned papers, and lots of negative space.  The beautiful yellow background is the perfect foundation for the page.
  5. Bowling with Dad by Heidi_scraps - There's a lot to love about this layout, but punching circles from photos and using them to mimic the motion of the ball is so creative and totally unique.
  6. Bowling Night by Unicorn1 - I love the bold paint that sets off the title.  The subtitle of 'All-Stars' is reinforced with three small stars and one large one that holds the journaling.
  7. Bowling Studs 2 by Taracotta7 - Six great pictures, five patterned papers, and a graphic layout combine to equal an awesome clean and simple layout.
  8. Lets Bowl by Dawnandnala - Brown, blue and orange aren't a traditional color combination for bowling, but they come together so well.
  9. Bowling by Lauri_Scrapattack - This layout makes great use of bowling-themed stickers.  The black, red and white color combination is a winner.
  10. Let's Bowl! by Cindy312 - For my bowling layout, I kept the colors neutral and the embellishments simple to keep the focus on the photos.  Instead of featuring a picture of my son or his friends, I chose to make the picture of our rental shoes the focus.  I know that years from now I'll marvel that his feet were ever that small!
