Basketball Layouts
The smell of the gymnasium, the squeak of the sneakers on the shiny floor or the roar that follows the swish of the basketball as it glides through the hoop, no matter what it is, we love the game of basketball! You can just feel the anticipation and excitement as you walk in to the arena.
For us scrapbookers it's all about that perfect shot and recording the event through our journaling. We want to capture that feeling of elation and memorialize it for years to come. Here are 10 of my favorite basketball scrapbook layouts made by Scrapjazz members that really display the excitement and thrill of the game. - Aim High by Stacy Milford: This layout truly shows the exhilaration of the game! It's a perfect composition, the leap, the throw and the failed block. You get excited just looking at it! The patterned paper really highlights the theme of the layout and the large beige mat keeps the photo grounded and allows it to be the main focus.
- Swish by Anna40: This page is an oldie but a goodie! The photos are cut into circles to simulate the shape of the basketball and highlight the delight of the focal player. The descriptive words, created with a Dymo machine, along with the charming journaling really complete this layout.
- Home Opener by Jacquie: This layout highlights the camaraderie and team sportsmanship of the game. The large photo is the spotlight of the page and the yellow stars add a feeling of emotion and pride.
- Basketball Superstar by Motoxmom: This page shows fabulous action shots by the star and her teammates. The mesh across the center of the page really gives it an athletic feel and the title "Basketball" with its rhinestone accent of "Super Star" is just enough bling for any sporty gal!
- Basketball {aka} Hoops by Lauri Scrapattacks: This layout really combines the love of the game, via amazing photos, with the elegance and beauty of scrapbooking. The gorgeous flourish and geometric papers mix perfectly with the two vertical photos allowing the beauty of the game to shine through.
- Fade Away Jumper by Jacquie: This layout used a non-traditional color scheme along with black-and-white photos to capture the excitement of the informal game. The photos are full of action and motion.
- Spinny Johnson Basketball Clinics by Dcl24: This basketball layout showcases an autograph and photo taken with a sports celebrity along with some fun action shots of the event.
- C-Basketball 2007-08 byScottsw61: This great layout combines action shots throughout the season with a portrait of the team. The technique of punching circles down the right side adds dimension and interest to the page and the Tracerkin paper doll is a whimsical touch.
- My Dad Is My Hero by Mstrace: This layout is a sweet memory of a child experiencing the love of basketball with his dad. The bright orange and greens as well as the bold geometric complement the photos and help your eye to flow across the page.
- Basketball Cheerleading by Tjcote: Let's not forget the cheerleaders. These are the gals and guys that get the crowd up on their feet! This layout is devoted to the cheer career of one basketball cheerleader. It includes a portrait along with a variety of action shots and pictures with friends.
