Soccer Embellishments
In 2006, my son played his first soccer game. He went home and practiced every day and the following week was able to score three goals. Since then, he has played on many more teams, has had soccer birthday parties, and attends every soccer class and camp available. Two years later his younger brother discovered soccer and likes it but is not quite as obsessed. As you can probably guess, over the past five years, I have taken more soccer photos than I can count and have created quite a number of soccer layouts to go with them. As I attempt to make each of these soccer layouts look unique, I have acquired and used quite a collection of soccer embellishments. Although most soccer embellishments look like soccer balls, there are also nets, cleats, grassy fields, and soccer words. You can also make soccer embellishments yourself. Here is a list of soccer embellishments I have used over the years. - soccer brads

- soccer buttons
- soccer stickers

- soccer phrases - Popular soccer phrases are available as stickers or can be cut from soccer papers.

- soccer emblems - Soccer leagues at all levels have their own logos and emblems. These can be scanned from a uniform or patch, or downloaded from the Internet. Print the logo on good quality cardstock or photo paper to create your own personalized soccer logo.
- fabric soccer embellishments

- soccer die-cuts and punches - You can purchase your soccer die-cuts or cut your own. Along the way, I have acquired a soccer ball die which I have used to cut soccer balls of all different colors.
- soccer stamps - Stamps are a great way to make an embellishment that you are going to use over and over again. Consider stamping in different colors or coloring in your stamps to create a variety of different looks. Cut out your stamped image and mount it on a raised adhesive to make it look more like an embellishment. If your children play a variety of sports, you can get a soccer ball stamp in a collection with other sports such as the On The Ball set from Technique Tuesday or Game Day from Karen Foster. soccer rub-ons soccer scallops - By cutting a bunch of soccer balls in half, or placing them in a line and covering half of them, you can easily make soccer ball scallops. This is a great way to incorporate the soccer theme into a shape that is so popular with scrapbookers.

Whether you are just starting to scrap soccer or have been doing it for years, I hope I have given you some ideas for embellishing your soccer-themed scrapbook pages. Visit Scrapjazz for a huge selection of Soccer Scrapbook supplies and much more.
