Inspirational Pregnancy Layouts
This summer my husband and I are expecting our first child. The road through this pregnancy has been filled with daily surprises. To remember this experience from the first moment we found out, I've been faithfully journaling each week about all the things that I went through while waiting for our baby and photographing my changing belly as well as the transformation of the nursery. Now that I'm only two months from my due date, I've started thinking about how I might like to scrapbook these journaling entries and photographs I've collected. With pregnancy on the brain (and showing in my belly), I've taken a special interest in pregnancy and newborn baby layouts that I've seen in the Scrapjazz.com gallery. Here are some of my personal favorites: - Woo Hoo by Jen E. - Finding out you're pregnant is when it all begins! There is so much emotion and excitement going on when you read that test that should be recorded and remembered forever.
- Spreading the News by Andrea Steed - When we told our family the news, it was quite a surprise to all of them. This layout tells the story of how we told all of our immediate family about the newest little Steed.
- First Trimester by kimca01 - I love how this layout features the highlights of her first trimester with photos, but also includes snippets of information about how she felt, what she did and what she ate.
- It's a Boy by nic073 - It's more and more common these days for parents to find out whether it's a boy or girl at an ultrasound. Here, an ultrasound, a title announcement and hidden journaling help to tell the story of how these parents found out the gender of their baby.
- Special Place for Baby by hogwild926 - Decorating a nursery has been the best way for me to prepare for our baby. This layout of a finished nursery says volumes to me about the preparation and anticipation that goes along with waiting for the baby to be born.
- Porter by nic073 - Choosing a name is one of the hardest things to do while waiting for the baby to arrive. This layout shows the names that were in the top running and tells why they chose the name Porter for their son.
- Pregnancy Heart by scrappinashley - Sometimes the journaling that goes along with your pregnancy might speak volumes more than any photo ever could. This layout allows for lots of journaling, and is interactive so that her daughter can one day read all about her mother's feelings during pregnancy.
- Pregnancy Survival Kit by KristyM -When they become staples in your life, it's important to remember those certain things you simply could not live without while you were pregnant! Many mothers can relate to the items on this layout.
- Oh Baby by CrazyJulz - Pre-natal classes, hospital tours and meeting other expecting parents is another huge part of the pregnancy process-especially for first-time parents. This layout shows the hospital and tells all about the classes the parents took and the people they met.
- Scarred for Life by AlligatorAlly - Unfortunately not every pregnancy is easy. Here, the story of how surgery helped save her unborn child is a story that will be remembered and told forever.
- Week 35 by designsbybriana - A week by week assessment is another great way to approach your pregnancy album. Briana recorded both mom and dad's perspective as well as development information about the baby for each week of her pregnancy.
- 9 Long Months by nolemmom - Before the baby is born, the biggest changes seem to be in Mommy's size! I love how this layout shows the transformation and growth in a curved design.
- Baby Shower by designsbybriana - Don't forget to take photos and write about your baby showers. This layout beautifully shows the people who came, the decorations, and the food!
- My Pregnancies by yazbelle - For those who have been pregnant several times, this layout compares each pregnancy and shows how just like each child is different, each pregnancy is too. The journaling shows just how miraculous each baby was in their family.
- I'm in Labor (I Think) by KristyM - It all ends with labor-or begins, depending on how you look at it. This layout includes lots of journaling telling the story of her labor and delivery.
