Sometimes mere speech is not enough to bring expression to my life stories, so I turn to those souls who have shared the poetry of their lives with music. A soundtrack of my life is created through their musical genius. They have allowed me to bring incredibly meaningful dialogue to my life as I express it in my scrapbook pages. If my life were a movie, I could choose a corresponding musical lyric for each scene. A Book of Me scrapbook is the perfect format for using this Soundtrack idea. My first grandson was born during a time when I needed to be "lifted in his laughter." I found that Fernando Ortega, a Christian musician, had written a song that gave the exact expression to the deepest emotion in my heart. The scrapbook page I created used the actual title of the song and the lyrics from "This Time Next Year" and its chorus:

“This time next year,
there’ll be stories to tell
and he will listen to you,
quiet in your arms,
And there’ll be songs to sing him
while he goes to sleep,
when we gather in your home,
this time next year.”
