Step-by-Step: Mother's Day
Photographs with a lot of different colors usually intimidate me. I always second-guess myself while scrapbooking them, so I put them off as long as I can. But when I saw these papers from We R Memory Keepers, I knew that the photos from my daughter's Mother's Day tea would work so well with them! Here's the step by step of "Mother's Day." Supplies : Instructions : - Cut photos to 5 ½" x 4", 4" x 2 ½", and 2 ¾" x 1 ¾".
- Cut patterned paper to 5 ½" x 1 ½", and 4 x 2 ¾" adjusting as needed to stretch across 12" x 12" cardstock.
- Paint the chipboard flower with two coats of white paint. Allow to dry thoroughly.
- Using a bunched-up paper towel, dab the chipboard flower with a medium brown paint to create speckled, light color. Allow to dry thoroughly.
- Using another bunched-up paper towel, dab the chipboard flower with bright pink paint.
- Cut an orange flower from the patterned paper. Adhere to the center of the chipboard flower.
- Adhere flowers to the upper left corner of the large photo.
- Using a ruler and pencil, draw lines to journal next to the top right photograph.
- Write journaling out in pencil, adjusting as needed to fit in the space.
- Write journaling out in pen; erase pencil marks.
- Place stickers in the bottom right corner, starting with the "y" lined up with the patterned paper and working backwards to the "m."
- Finally, add the year in the loop of the "y" with a pen.
