Reasons I Love You Mini Album
I can't think of a better time to take a moment to celebrate the one you love than on Valentine's Day . We often say "I love you" to our special someone, but we don't always take the time to tell him (or her) why. This fun tag album project gives you a chance to do just that. Best of all? You can complete it in only a matter of hours. Begin by planning out your album and journaling. Select a few reasons that you love your significant other, and then take a moment to jot down some reflecting on the topic at hand. A few of the reasons I love my fiancé include his sense of humor, the ways he expresses love, and his undying devotion-to sports teams, among other things! After you've prepared your journaling, you may wish to print a few photos to add to your project. Wallet-size prints are just perfect. Next, you'll want to gather your supplies for the project. You'll need: - A number of tags - one for each of your reasons, plus one each for the front and back cover. Premade tags are fine, or you can elect-as I did-to cut your own using a die-cut machine of your choice.
- Computer or pen for journaling
- Any embellishments you wish to include on your front cover or interior pages
- Binding system or materials of your choice.
Assembling this project is quick and easy! To begin, simply decorate your tags adding your photos and journaling. I elected to make a spread for each of the reasons I chose to celebrate in the album, listing the reason on the left-hand side, and accompanying journaling on the right-hand side. This method works out great; just be sure to keep your tags in order as you go to make sure that your finished album will fall together the way you want it to. Next, decorate your cover as you wish. You may also want to include an introductory spread to let your special someone know what the album contains, and why you've created it. I also elected to include a final thought at the end of my album. After all of your tags are complete, the only remaining step is to bind them together to create a beautiful book! There are a number of ways to do this, including: - Tie the tags together using a piece of ribbon or twill.
- Staple the wide edge of your tags together.
- Use a pre-bound spiral book of tags, or take your tags to a copy center to have them bound together.
- Use the Rollabind system to bind your tags using colorful discs.
No matter how you choose to create your album, your significant other is likely to love the special album you've created. Take some time to celebrate the one you love. They'll thank you for it.
