"You Are My Sunshine" Projects

We can all use more sunshine in our lives! Here are just a few ways to create some of your own rays of sunlight. Feel free to incorporate the actual song into your work of art as I did in the layout below. Maybe you need to share some sunshine with someone else; try making a card using the theme. Need something bright and cheerful for year-round? Make a home décor item to cherish for years to come such as my "Got Sunshine?" printer's tray. So many possibilities with such a timeless and cherished song! Here a just a few examples:

Here is a fun take on the song highlighting one of the main sources of sunshine in my life, my daughter. I found the music online and printed it onto photo paper and cut it in strips to accent the sun rays.

"When Skies Are Gray" Card by Patricia Folchert

Here is a simple card to brighten the day of someone special. It uses stamped clouds and a handmade paper-pieced kite on a gray text background to send a message.

This is a great way to showcase some of your favorite photos which allows you to enjoy them daily. Haven't tried altering a printer's tray yet? No better time than the present to get on it.
