Last-Minute Valentine’s Cards

by Tiffany Roberts (Feb 13, 2009)

I have a confession to make: deep down I'm a procrastinator.  I'll put off making holiday cards until the last minute because it's such a chore to make Valentine's cards for all four of my children's classmates.

This year I've come up with some cute and quick cards that use scraps and supplies I have on hand.

Love U

I used pearl chalks and VersaMark ink to make a soft background sheet for this card. Fun patterned papers and a metallic letter ‘U' make this quick card fun and whimsical.

Supplies:

Key to My Heart

This card has more of a vintage look.  The scallop circle was cut from vintage ledger paper.

I Love You

This very simple card used patterned paper scraps and paper lace that was rubbed with chalks to alter the color. A paper piercing tool was used to add decorative corners on the lower left and right sides.

Supplies:

2 Gether

This card was inspired by the patterned paper, which isn't a Valentine's design at all.  What a cute idea for a school friend!  Other fun math-themed phrases could be used, such as: 2 good 2 be 4gotten.
