Everyone gives chocolates and roses for Valentine's Day. But from the scrapbooker, something more unique, thoughtful, and crafty is expected. Here are some simple but creative gift ideas for your loved ones:
![]() Instructions for the bookmark: Cut one strip of solid cardstock 2" x 12". Fold over at 6 ½". Cut coordinating patterned paper 2" x 5 ½" and glue to top fold. Attach a photo anchor to hold bookmark closed. Glue a metal word embellishment to the bottom of the bookmark and add your favorite photo or quote to the inside. Instructions for the coupon round tin: Cut two circles 2 ½" in diameter from pink cardstock. Cut 10 (more or less) circles from white cardstock. Decorate the white cardstock circles as "coupons." Decorate and use one pink cardstock circle as the cover page. Punch holes at the top of each circle and use a round brad to hold coupons together. Decorate the outside of the tin with ribbon. Instructions for decorated rectangular tin: Cut patterned paper 2" x 9" and attach to tin using Mod Podge. Glue coordinating ribbon around the bottom of the paper. Attach a flower sticker on the front of the tin and ribbon to the handle. Insert a deck of playing cards, a set of pictures, mini recipes cards, or gift cards. Unlike chocolates that melt and roses that fade away, these gifts will keep on giving for days (or months) to come. Don't forget that a hug and kiss should always accompany any Valentine's Day gift.
