Cards: Christmas

Cards are a great way to send greetings to family and friends during the holidays. Even if you send a newsletter or photo card, a traditional card shares the sentiment of the holiday with others. There are many ways to embellish a card for Christmas. The steps include creating the card base, adding a sentiment and embellishing the card. Create the Card Base. To create a base for your card you need to figure out the dimensions of your finished card. Measure your envelope so you don't make the card too large. Also determine if you want the card to fold over. Pick your background color and cut your cardstock appropriately. You can also buy pre-cut paper to make the process easier. If you are making several cards of the same style then cut them all out at once to save paper and time. Add a Sentiment. I often create cards based on the sentiment I wish to express. The text can be printed, stamped, die-cut or computer-generated on to the card. In this Christmas card I used a stamp to put the text "Merry Christmas" on the card.
In another Christmas card I used word art to create a computer-generated card.
Add embellishments. This is often the most fun and creative part of making a card. There are many different types of embellishments including glitter, flowers, ribbon, yarn and attachments. In this card I added a ribbon.
Finish your Christmas card with a signature. Your card will be treasured. Traditional Products:
