Santa Mini Album

by Heidi Anne Giebel (Jun 7, 2011)

I always take dozens of photos at holiday time. I try my hardest to scrap most of them but there are always those elusive few Christmas photos that just never get printed out. This year, I decided to print those extra photos at wallet size and put them in a Christmas Mini Album.

This Santa mini album is so easy and quick to make, that it can be assembled from start to finish in one afternoon.

I began by cutting the shadow image of the Santa Claus from Cricut's Winter Frolic five times out of a medium-weight kraft cardstock. Next, I cut the same shadow Santa Claus image 10 more times in a variety of Christmas patterned papers.

I used the patterned paper to cover both sides of the kraft cardstock Santa shapes. This created five sturdy pages for my mini album.

Once I had my five pages completed, I began to add embellishments.

I cut the layers of the Santa Claus and assembled them. I adhered the completed Santa to the cover page of my mini album.

I created journaling blocks that were attached to my pages using brads and could swivel out from behind the photos.

For another journaling spot, I welded two top-note die shapes together using Design Studio. I then folded the die cut in half to create the space to add journaling.

I adhered a journaling spot, photo mat and embellishments to each page and bound them together using two 1" binding rings and my Crop A Dile.

Lastly, I tied colorful, holiday ribbons to the binding rings and my Christmas album was ready for my photos.
