Decor: A Sweet and Sassy Little Girl's Party
by Maegan Hall
(Dec 13, 2011)
This girly fashion-themed party is perfect for the little girl in your life that is too old for a princess party, but not quite a teenager. Party Bags: Supplies:
Download clipart of a purse from the Internet and print onto white cardstock. Using your circle punch, punch it out. Mat onto glitter paper and punch it out again using your larger scalloped edge circle punch. Adhere to the bag using a brad or adhesive.
Purse Card: Supplies:
Fold a piece of cardstock, leaving some at the top to fold over as the top flap of your purse card. Fold over the remainder of the cardstock (it will look like an envelope). Cut your card into a triangle. It looks like a purse now. A button or diamond complete the "clasp" for the purse card.
Pinwheel Arrangements: Supplies:
Wrap black polka dot paper around the bottom of a flower pot. This is easiest if your pot is straight, unlike a shaped clay pot. Crinkle your pink streamers and tape around your pot. Finish with black ribbon. Take your damask paper and fold it like an accordion, or fan. Bring the edges together and staple. Cover your seam with a round center made from coordinating papers. Glue to a wooden dowel to create a large flower.
Banner: Supplies:
Paint your chipboard black. Once dried, crinkle your pink streamer and adhere to black chipboard. Top with various layered papers to create the look of a flower. Glue one diecut letter onto each chipboard piece. String onto black ribbon and hang.
Cake Bling: Supplies:
Using embellishments without any adhesive, stick your bling into your cake while the icing is still wet for instant coordinating sparkle.
This party is not only easy; it's cheap. You can use whatever coordinating scraps and punches you have on hand and the items are recyclable when you use them on your scrapbook pages. That's a win-win for everybody!
