Step-by-Step: Cherish
It's spring! Time for flower buds, singing birds and all things new. Speaking of, I have recently found a new love in the most unexpected place, a Making Memories 6"x6" paper pack. If you haven't had the opportunity to try one of these yet, you are in for a total delight. Bundled together in this little pack are sixteen different coordinating patterned papers that are perfect for quick and easy layouts. Use four of them together to create a color-blocked page, or cut strips of several patterns to add a rainbow of color. With forty-eight pieces of paper, these packs can also be used for a mini-album, cards or any other small project that you are working on.Whether you are going for an all-day crop or just a few hours at your local scrapbook store, the convenient size makes it easy to pack at a moment's notice. Here is an idea for a quick layout that I created. Once I started, it took less than a half hour to complete. Beautiful and simple, just like a new spring day. Enjoy!
Supplies: Instructions: - Use the corner rounder to round the upper right corner of 6" by 6" Making Memories white and green paper. Cut a strip of solid green paper 1" by 6" and a piece of black paper 1 ½" by 7". Round the bottom left corner of the black strip with the punch.
- Attach the black paper to the layout, then layer the white patterned paper and the solid strip over it. Add the photo next, aligning with both the black paper on the bottom and the solid paper on the side.
- Cut a piece of decorative tape 7" long. Place over the seam of the white patterned paper and green solid paper. Wrap around to the back to secure.
- Punch a circle from a piece of blue and white patterned paper. Attach a metal rim with glue and machine stitch in place. Add a button inside the rim. Adhere to the layout.
- Ink Cherish stamp with StazOn and stamp over the circle and the decorative tape. Then stamp a swirl onto the white cardstock. Cut out and glue to the layout.
- Put a bling brad in the center of a blossom. Press a concho around the bling brad and attach to the layout.
- Add a mini black brad to the lower right corner of the photograph. Use a pen to add the name and date.
