Some photos beg to be scrapped and this grandpa and grandson sharing a name and a kiss on a beautiful summer day in August was all the incentive I needed to grab my supplies. The orange wildflower on this kraft paper from Scenic Route perfectly matched grandpa's shirt and also gave a summery feel to the page.

Supplies:

• Adirondack ink pads in lettuce and rust

• Pitt Pens in sepia

Instructions:

1. Measuring two inches in from the left edge, I adhered a 3" wide strip of plaid paper from the K & Co Rough and Tumble collection.
2. I cut around one of the flowers and leaves with an exacto knife and slid the 5" x 7" photo under the cut edges. I adhered the tiny pieces with a bit of glue on my finger and rubbed the back side and pressed it down.
3. Two journaling die-cuts from Teresa Collins Journal-It collection provided the three places on my page for bits of information such as names and dates and a quote. The journaling was done with sepia Pitt pens.
4. A "smile" Flair badge from American Crafts was the exact color of the leaves on the paper and added to the storytelling message.
5. BasicGrey Thickset undressed chipboard letters that were inked with Adirondack lettuce and rust inks set a bold title on my page and related the message of grandpa and grandson sharing a name.
6. Tiny stamps with brown ink identified the "unshared names" of grandpa/grandson.
7. A date stamp with brown ink shows the date.

A simple page with the right supplies packs a tremendous "punch" for that special page and leaves the focus on the photo.
