Product Review: Apple Cider Collection by Imaginisce

by Andrea Steed (Mar 25, 2011)

Product Name:  Apple Cider Collection by Imaginisce

Price:  Prices for items in this collection range from $0.99 for acrylic stamps to $5.49 for specialty sticker sheets.

Description:  This fall-themed collection is full of rich color, adorable creatures and plenty of doodled graphic design.  The collection includes several varieties of double-sided patterned cardstock with the Imaginisce signature "glossy accents" as well as several sheets of rub-ons, stickers, and sticker stackers (dimensional stickers), not to mention the coordinating "Snag 'em" acrylic stamps.

In Use:

Whimsical enough for kid pages, but neutral enough for any fall-themed layout or project, this collection finds the perfect balance between story-book drawings and graphic design.   I love how you can use the cute little critters on kid-themed pages and still turn around and choose the pumpkins, leaves or apples embellishments to use on a more elegant fall-themed project.  The versatility makes it an excellent fall-themed collection to have on hand.

Tips & Techniques:

  • The Sticker Stackers "Give Thanks" make excellent pre-decorated journaling blocks.
  • The "Happy Harvest" Sticker Stackers can easily turn into ready-made page titles or card sentiments.
  • I thought the tree with a heart designed into the branches on the Hurry Scurry Icons rub-ons would be adorable on a Valentine card.

Projects & Examples:

I went to town with this collection and created several different projects.

Thanksgiving Centerpiece - This double-sided four-panel centerpiece was made from chipboard tags and small binder rings.  It was a perfect Thanksgiving decoration on our buffet table.

Recipe Box - I designed this recipe box to house all our favorite Thanksgiving recipes - and to serve as a fall decoration in our kitchen.

Together - This layout was designed within a divided page-protector and showcased a fun fall photograph of my two kids (both smiling -- a miracle!).

Thankful - This layout is more about me than the kids, so I kept it more "adult" in design.  Even so, this collection was a perfect choice to showcase the gorgeous fall colors.
