Step-by-Step: Fall

For this fall layout, I chose to pair the bright colors of the BoBunny Sun Kissed collection with an orange print from the BasicGrey Offbeat collection. I finished it off by adding some layered chipboard pieces to tie the whole thing together. Once I had the papers picked out, it took about ten minutes to complete. Here is how I created it.

Supplies:

• Bazzill Kachina cardstock
• Bazzill Parakeet cardstock 
• Bazzill White cardstock
• Bazzill Blue Calypso cardstock
• BoBunny Sun Kissed Stripe patterned paper
• Bo Bunny I-Candy Chipboard stickers
• Doodlebug Colors of Love patterned paper
• Doodlebug Shin Dig alphabet stickers
• BasicGrey Nonchalant patterned paper
• Sakura Micron pen
• Paper Shapers large corner rounder punch

Instructions:

The key to completing this layout quickly was cutting all the paper pieces first and then putting the layout together. Start by making the following cuts:

• Nonchalant (orange) 4" x  7 5/8"
• Sun Kissed Stripe 2" x 7 5/8"
• Colors of Love (hearts) ½" x 3"
• White cardstock 4 ½" x 5"
• Parakeet cardstock 3 ½" x 5"
• Blue Calypso cardstock 3 ½" x 5 1/4"
• photograph 3 1/8" x 3 5/8"

The assembly process went even faster with these few, easy steps.

1. Use corner punch to round the top two edges of the Nonchalant patterned paper and all four corners of the Blue Calypso cardstock.
2. Glue Nonchalant paper to layout ½" down from the top of the Kachina cardstock.
3. Next add the Parakeet cardstock, aligning ½" in from the bottom and the side edge, and again with the White cardstock.
4. Add the Sun Kissed Stripe, overlapping the patterned paper and cardstock.
5. Adhere the Colors of Love strip just below the Sun Kissed Stripe.
6. Mount a photo on the Blue Calypso cardstock and glue on the layout.
7. Use a Sakura pen to add the date below the photo, alphabet stickers to spell out the title and chipboard stickers as desired.
