Tween Décor Ideas

I love creating home décor items for friends and family. I think they make the best gifts, and they allow you to step outside the box and try so many interesting techniques. Here are a few project ideas you might like to try. Remember, tween décor is fun, happy, and a little on the funky side! Skip the pastel baby animals and go for something with energy. Your tweens will love that you made them something that reflects their own unique personality (even if they don't admit it!).
Here are three projects I've created in the past for my tween-aged daughters. They were so fun to do, and the girls treasure them!
Wall Words This set of tropical-themed wall words was fast, fun, and funky. I used papers, stickers, and accent pieces from the Flair Designs tropic-inspired line so that everything coordinated. Supplies
Treasure Box This treasure box started out as an ugly, 1960's era, gold-colored jewelry box. I decided to use some girly papers and accents to turn it into a special keepsake box for my middle daughter.
Supplies
This is my favorite décor item that I've made in a long time. It was a photo holder/mobile intended to hold 6" x 6" pictures. Instead I created mini scrapbook layouts and sandwiched them between the acrylic squares. I mostly used up bits and pieces from my scrap pile too, which is always nice. Supplies
