Scrapping Those Unusual Pets!
by Patter Cross

Many families have pets. Many families have more than one pet. My family happens to have five pets and three fish tanks. Yes, it does seem like quite a zoo sometimes. It seems relatively easy to find layouts of dogs and cats but what about those other pets? You know-parrots, bunnies, guinea pigs, hamsters, horses, snakes, etc. Today I thought I would share several parrot layouts with you, and I hope you will take these ideas to use with your unusual pets. The Title When creating layouts of different pets, try to think of titles that are fun and different-maybe a title that includes the uniqueness of the animal. Here I chose to focus on the number ‘2' since we have two parrots (white-bellied Caiques). What makes them fun? Oh, that there are two of them of course! What makes your pet unique?
Playing Around Do you have some fun photos of your pets playing around? My girls (as I call our parrots) love to play on the kitchen island. This layout shows them playing between all of the goodies I had to put away. They had so much fun. How about you? Do your pets have a favorite place to play? Scrap it!
How About a Song? I sing the old The Archies song, "Sugar, Sugar," to our parrot Sugar all the time. She loves it and dances when I sing. The song lyrics, along with the Tim Holtz symphony tissue tape, were perfect for this layout of one of my girls.
I hope this gives you some fun ideas on how to scrap those unusual pets. To see more pet layouts (other than dog and cat), visit the Scrapjazz Gallery under the "animal theme." Â You can also search the gallery on the name of a specific animal to see those "pet specific" layouts. Have fun scrapping those precious pets. Enjoy! |
