All About Me: Survey Says

When this topic came up for an article I automatically knew just what I wanted to do. For me, that rarely happens without me changing my mind several times. By the time I'm finished, what I make rarely resembles my original concept. However, this layout, "Survey of Me 101," flowed so smoothly. It makes me wonder if digital scrapbooking might be in my future because I did so much of the page design on my computer.

I chose the title for the layout because it reminded me of the Survey of Fine Arts classes from my college years. I had a few surveys saved in my inbox but none of them seemed to be worthy of preserving in a scrapbook. I ran across a site, www.forwardgarden.com, that has tons of surveys. Browse the different surveys available and choose one that appeals to you.

Adobe PageMaker was used to make my background paper. I arranged the 44 questions of the survey on the page, while leaving a border all around, space for my written answers and blank spots to add a title and photo. It was printed in a shade of brown on a mottled yellow patterned paper. A similar composition could easily be done in Microsoft Word.

The title was added using cardstock alphabet stickers. My answers were written by hand using a brown Pitt pen. There are a couple of questions that I'm still thinking about the answers. I'll add them later. As an artistic touch, my photo was manipulated in Adobe PhotoShop to reflect the style of my favorite artist (see the answer to question #36). Finally, the yellow was matted on a coordinating patterned paper.

I can see where several questions could be the jump-off point for new layouts. Of course, a quick visit to Scrapjazz gives me lots of inspiration and I hope you found some here.
