Got Quirks? Let’s Scrap Them!
Okay, admit it. You have a few quirks. You have them, I have them, your family members have them. Hey, we all have them. Once I discovered I had quirks, I actually shared them with my husband and my children. What a relief it is to know that I have a wonderful excuse when I cannot explain why I am the way I am. All I have to do now is say, "Oh, that's one of my quirks." We have even pointed out some of my husband's quirks too, just in case he did not know he had them. It actually makes the household run a bit smoother knowing that we all have our oddities. What Is a Quirk? Webster's dictionary puts it so simply: "A peculiarity, peculiar trait, or mannerism." Patter's definition: "Those things that you have to have ‘just so' or it drives you nuts." List Your Quirks First, I listed my quirks. Some of them were hard to admit and some seem quite silly. But it does make me feel better to know that it is an oddity about myself that cannot be explained. It is just how I am. I do not have to have an excuse for why I do something the way I do other than the fact that it is a quirk. So, make your list. Does your list look similar to mine? Take ‘Quirk' Pictures Once you have listed your quirks, now it is time to take your pictures. You really must take a picture of the toilet paper roll if that is one of your quirks. Scrap Those Quirks Once you have listed your quirks, taken pictures and printed them, now it is time for the fun part. Scrap them! I found that one layout was not enough for all of my quirks. I have to go back and scrap another page or two. But that is okay. This will go into my Book of Me. Someday maybe my grandchildren will look at this and laugh or know that their quirk was passed down from their grandmother. Now scrap your quirks. Have fun, and I would love to see a lot of ‘quirky' layouts in the gallery!
