Two Step Stampin'
Two-Step Stampin'® is the name for a technique coined by rubber stamp manufacturer Stampin' Up! The company creates certain stamp sets particularly for this technique, which are designated as such in its catalog. The images in these sets are made to layer one image over another or adjoin to create a single image. This is a beginner technique, which requires only basic rubber stamping knowledge. It's a great way to add some dimension to a card or scrapbook page. Step 1 Using two coordinating images from a Two-Step Stampin'® set, choose your background image and stamp it onto your paper in the color of your choice. Step 2 Chose the corresponding image which you want overlay or adjoin and your ink color. < Step 3 Use a Stampamajig to position the image in the desired position. I find it very helpful to use a stamp positioner, called a Stampamajig, when doing Two-Step Stampin'® in order to achieve perfect placement. But you can also just eyeball it, if you prefer. Step 4 Stamp the image. Tips: - To make the background image lighter, ink the image, and stamp once onto a piece of scrap paper (without re-inking) before stamping the image on your scrapbook page or card. Or, simply use two shades of the same color.
 - Use markers to ink up your stamps if you would like your image to have more than one color per layer.
