How do I make a paper piecing?Step 1: After you have chosen your pattern you will need to cut the pattern apart. Be sure to keep smooth edges smooth and sharp edges sharp or your finished piecing may look crooked. Step 2: Trace each pattern piece onto the wrong side or your cardstock or patterned paper. Step 3: Place your pattern into a sandwich or snack size baggie and label the bag. Don't risk losing pieces of your pattern by not bagging it immediately when done tracing. This is especially important when doing an advanced pattern that may have lots of small pattern pieces. Step 4: Cut out your traced pieces. Again being careful to have smooth edges where needed and sharp edges when needed. Step 5: Piece your pattern together making sure each item fits correctly and that any pieces cut on patterned paper have the design on the correct side. If you find that a piece is incorrect just re-trace a new piece. Step 6: Using acid free adhesive glue your pieces together, being careful to not get adhesive where it will show. Step 7: Adhere your finished paper piecing to your scrapbook page!
