CropyCats Idea Cards

We’ve all had scrappers block, and know how frustrating it is to be stumped on a page, or just simply not inspired to create that one-of-a-kind masterpiece that we want every layout to be. CROPYcats has come up with a fabulous way to get great ideas for your scrapbook pages when you are stumped. The CROPYcats’ talented Design Team has created pages and patterns for you to “cropy” to you heart’s content.

This is so much more than just another idea book. Each Idea Card is complete with a crisp, clean graphic image of the layout, easy to follow instructions and detailed supply lists on a recipe-style card. The designers have given step by step instructions on how to recreate the pages, as well as giving tips on how to resize it to fit 8 ½ x 11 pages as well, a thoughtful touch for those who scrap in the smaller size. Patterns for many of the adorable paper piecings used on their pages can be downloaded and printed from the CROPYcats website.

What really sets this apart from other idea books is that new sets of 24 Idea Cards (48 great page ideas) come out every quarter. It’s an idea book that keeps on growing. Every three months you have a new set available to you with new designs from their Design Team. You can buy the Idea Cards either by the set or you can save time and money and buy a yearly subscription so that you’ll be sure not to miss any of the new Idea Cards all year long.

The cards fit into a great little 3-ring binder they call a “Keeper”. This Keeper is definitely my personal favorite aspect. The Keeper comes with organizing tabs, which help you find what you’re looking for quickly. Each Idea Card is color coded and numbered to help you keep your Keeper nice and organized.

The Keeper is made of thick, durable plastic and opens to a tabletop tent-fold for easy reference while you scrap. You don’t have to worry about pages of magazines flipping over every time you move your hand. And it fits nicely in your tote when you are transporting it from crop to crop. This Keeper is so sturdy, there is no need to worry about the pages getting bent or damaged while lugging it around with all of your other crop supplies.

I was very impressed with the quality of pages, and the professional look and feel of the Idea Cards and Keeper. And, it’s something that I might add my own ideas to as well at some point. The 3-ring binder is awfully convenient!
