Product Review: Fancy Pants Notebook Journal
I'll admit it. I'm a sucker for journaling books. Of all the scrapbooking trends to hit the market in the past few years, journaling books are my absolute favorite. So I was delighted when Fancy Pants Designs released these fabulous 5" x 8" notebook journals in several designs. I immediately purchased my favorite, called "On a Whimsy.
Each book contains 24 pages. You get two each of 12 designs. Best of all, the pages are die-cut in a variety of shape designs so you truly get a bunch of different looks, all from one product. Many of the pages are lined, making them great for hand-journaling. Just grab your favorite pen and write away! To get a different look, I opted to run a page through my printer and had fabulous results.
This two-page layout about my dad turned out well. I was able to feature a lot of journaling on the page. And since the notebook page went through my printer with no problems, I was also able to get a finished, printed look. Another great way to use the notebook pages is to frame your page titles. Sometimes when using a bold patterned paper, it can be difficult to make your titles stand out. I used a circular design for the title on this page about my puppy, Gracie, and loved the final design.
I also decided to apply this technique to card design. I love to make cards, but often don't have much time to devote to their creation. I designed two cards simply by adhering a notebook page to a scrap of patterned paper. I added a greeting using dimensional letters, a little bit of ribbon, and before I knew it, had two complete cards that look fantastic but didn't take too much time.
Achieve these great looks and more by picking up your very own Fancy Pants notebook journal! With its fun, whimsical designs and quality papers, you won't be disappointed.
