Scrapping with Glitter Mist

by Tiffany Roberts (Jun 10, 2009)

Here is a product that will add something pretty, soft and feminine to nearly any layout or project.  It's called Glitter Mist.  It's a unique mist of ultra fine glitter in a liquid base that evaporates quickly.

Glitter Mist is wonderful for adding that extra layer of color, or to help highlight a special embellishment on your layout.  There are several colors of Glitter Mist available. You can find a shade to complement any project you have in mind, and a little bit goes a long way, so it's a great value for the money.

Here are a couple projects I've recently completed.

Jack

This layout looked a little flat once I got done with it.  A simple spritz of Sugar Cookie Glitter Mist gave the flat cardstock a little something special.

Enjoy Card

This is the card I gave my mom for Mother's Day.  The "Enjoy" title piece was the perfect size to hold a gift card for my mother's favorite bookstore.  The Glitter Mist helped dull the bright white background and added a nice shimmer to the ribbon on this card.

There are several ways you can incorporate this fun product into your own work.  Try spraying ribbons or felt trims, silk flowers, or manila tags.  Create a negative image by using a mask and spraying all around it, remove the mask and look at the wonderful image left!  This would be especially pretty if you used a piece of lace or a paper doily and got the lacy image left over in a bright color of Glitter Mist.  I hope you'll pick up a bottle or two in your favorite colors and try adding this dynamic new accent to your own layouts and cards. I think you'll love it!
