Rain Technique

by Maureen Spell (Jul 25, 2006)

One of my staple products is Diamond Glaze by JudiKins. I first became dependent on it for adhering heavier embellishments to my scrapbooking pages. Since this glue dries clear, I found that sticking stuff on paper wasn’t the only thing it could do. It works well for highlighting words, creating glossy finishes on embellishments, and sealing images. It also is a wonderful way to add a wet look to your pages. Here’s how to accomplish that effect:

Supplies Needed:

  • Transparency
  • Diamond Glaze by JudiKins

1. Print journaling onto a transparency.

2. Hold a bottle of Diamond Glaze at a slight angle and drag the tip across the transparency.

3. Occasionally make a small pool of Diamond Glaze and then use the tip of the bottle to pull glaze downwards.

4. Let it dry completely before adding any additional embellishments or photos.

Variation: Add Pearl Ex by Jacquard to the Diamond Glaze to get a custom color perfect for those Popsicle drips, KoolAid spills or melting chocolate.
