Paper Flower Bouquet
For me, scrapbooking led to a world of paper crafting. After a few years of using my tools for only scrapbooking, I began to wonder what else I could do with them. Some of my tools have helped me fix a toilet, a sink, and a stopped-up shower drain. No joke about that. My scrapbooking tools have also helped in paper-crafting projects. With spring just around the corner, some may be wondering how to liven up their home. Others may be looking for small nice gifts for spring holidays, celebrations, and birthdays. Today, I want to share one project, a paper flower bouquet that is fast, simple, and uses your scraps.
What You Will Need: **NOTE** Your floral foam will need to be a nice snug fit for your container. It may need to be trimmed a bit.
How To: - Place your foam into your container.
- Cut lots of flowers in various sizes out of your scraps of paper using your floral die and die-cutting machine. Color doesn't really matter. You can also use Prima-like flowers as well.
- Layer your flowers together mixing flower shapes, colors, and layers.
- Place buttons on the top of your flowers and pierce holes through all your flower layers.
- Run wire up through all the layers and the button, and then back through a different hole in the button, and through the layers.
- Twist the wire to hold all the layers together. Then trim the wire down a bit to create your stem and stick it into the foam.

- Once you have the number of flowers that you want, you will cover the surface of the foam with crinkle paper. Cover a fourth of the surface at a time with hot glue and adhere your paper crinkle. I did two layers.
- Make your pinwheel. To do this, cut a square of paper about 4" x 4". Cut starting from each corner of the square into the paper, stopping about 1/3 of the way (about 1 1/3") from the center. When you are done you should have four triangles that are all connected by the center. Take one corner of each triangle (the same corner) and fold to the center. Hold each corner there with a dot of glue. Cover with a button. Use a dab of hot glue to adhere the pinwheel to your dowel.
- Finally, add your photos by adhering wire to the back of the photo and inserting the wire into the foam.
There you have it, a simple and quick project to add a little bit of spring cheer to your home. This can also be given as a wonderful Mother's Day gift to decorate her space at work.
