Product Description:

Zva Creative Paper Roses are a three-dimensional embellishment that you can use on all of your paper-crafting items. They come in several sizes: 5/8”, 7/8”, and 1 ¼” sizes. They also come in several different colors including lime, olive, ginger, peach, lavender, and rosy. They are sold in bulk so you do get a lot for the price. The 5/8” and 7/8” roses come in packages of 144 roses, and the 1 ¼” roses come in packs of 72 roses. The roses are attached to a wire stem so they are easy to use as a bunch or cut them off to use individually.

In Use:

While I have several different sizes and colors of these roses, my favorite size is the 5/8” size since they work perfectly for cards and smaller layouts. I tend to do 8” x 8” layouts so these are perfect for the smaller-sized page. To use individually, I cut one off the wire stem, cutting close to the back of the flower. I usually have a bit of wire left that I still need to tuck under before adhering to a page. Be careful; you do not want to cut yourself on the wire! They attach easily with a Glue Dot.

There are a few disadvantages—even the smaller roses tend to stick up pretty high off a scrapbook page so if you do not like lumpy scrapbook pages, this may not be the embellishment you are looking for. Also, if you mail cards, this will require extra postage due to the bulky nature of the flower.

Tips & Techniques:

Here are just a few ideas on using these roses:

Mix the different sized roses for a beautiful look on any creation.
Keep the stem long and wrap it around altered pieces.
Attach to bows, tulle, or twill for beautiful look.
Spritz with Pearl Glimmer Mist or other colors of Glimmer Mist for shimmery look.
Embellish store-bought headbands with these roses. I am sure any little girl would love a few roses in her hair!
