Getting the Most out of your QuicKutz

If you’ve been in the scrapbooking “world” for long, you’ve probably heard of the QuicKutz. It’s a personal (and portable) die cutting tool that has all different styles of alphabets sets as well as over 200 die cut shapes available. They currently offer 10 different alphabets, most of which contain both upper and lowercase sets, number sets, and shadow sets--so that you never have to mat a letter by hand again! Some fonts are also available in “mini” 5/8” sizes as well as the regular 1 1/4” size. The designs and style of each die is classy and detailed, making your pages look fantastic.

I’ve spent the last few weeks “QuicKutz”-ing for the QuicKutz Product Spotlight here on Scrapjazz and I have completely fallen in love with this tool. I was able to create intricate titles in 1/10th of the time (or less) that it usually takes me to cut out titles with scissors and an exacto knife. And we know what that means...more completed pages in less time--without losing the look of “complicated” pages! I was able to create 10 layouts in one afternoon when it normally would have taken me all afternoon to create one or two. I was already sold on the QuicKutz as a fantastic time-saving tool, but seeing it actually help me produce more pages made it all worth it. After only two days of owning the tool, I was already planning my next alphabet purchase!

Every page needs a title. The varieties of fonts available in formal, fun and simple styles enhance the titles on your layouts quickly. It could easily take you much longer to come up with a title than it does to actually create it with the QuicKutz. Choosing a font that fits your page theme will help convey the message you want your layout to tell. For example, the Sonja, Marisa, and Indigo fonts are more formal and work especially well for weddings, graduations, special ceremonies, highlighting special relationships, or simply to bring an elegant feel to your page.

Enhance your journaling. The mini alphabets are perfect accents for special words within your journaling. You can incorporate the words cut with the QuicKutz with your own handwriting or computer fonts to highlight important words in your journaling.

Make Mini Albums or Themed Albums. The QuicKutz can be used to create theme albums using the same font throughout an entire album. They’re great for ABC albums--cut each letter in one font, and use another font for the words on each page. A gift album using a QuicKutz font can be created so quickly, but will look like you spent hours and hours cutting each letter by hand.

Create in bulk! Using the QuicKutz to create invitations, sets of greeting cards, gift tags, swap items and other crafts makes creating the same project over and over again MUCH faster. Your projects will be consistent, elegant, and FAST. The QuicKutz shapes come in very handy when doing these types of projects as well.

Really, it’s all in the name…quick. In our world, time is money…Since the QuicKutz is definitely going to save you time…in the long run…it will also save you money and let you enjoy extra time doing the “other” things you love….or doing more scrapbooking!
