Pint-size Pictures on Your Pages
Miniatures, little puppies and little kids have always drawn my attention. Little things are so irresistible to me. When I was younger, I even had my own miniature collection of plastic figurines. It was fitting that I would find index prints adorable as well. My kids look so cute in miniature! I love to glance at my whole roll of film by looking at the index prints. Instead of only using index prints for my photo organization, I have found ways to incorporate them on my pages. Here are some ideas: Borders: Because of their size, you can inset index prints onto a larger picture in order to tell the whole story, or use as a border along the edges of a page. This is a great way to include a lot of pictures of an event without the page seeming too cluttered. Life by Susan W. Index prints can also be used as a line on a page to guide your eye around the layout. In this example the prints were used to add emphasis and direction to the title. The lines of the journaling, ribbons and index prints create steady movement on the page. Good Morning Yesterday by Sherrill G. Pierre Mini-Albums: Try using your index prints to create a customized mini-album. They are also wonderful accents to use to customize CD covers and other altered art projects.
