Step-by-Step: American Boy
by Kenna Ewing

When I first saw Around The Block's Patriotic line, I fell in love with their deep rich colors and knew I had the perfect photo to use! What could be better than that? Can you say, Around The Block's matching embellishments! Put them all together to create a quick, fun and easy layout!
Supplies:
Step 1 Adhere ribbon and words cut from America paper to your background paper.
Step 2 Mount photo on cream textured paper or cardstock (I angled mine) and stitch along photo's border. If you don't have a machine, try rub-ons, stitching stamps, or photo-editing software when you edit and print your photo. Step 3 Take your mounted photo and starting at the top right corner of the cardstock, roll on the Patriotic Roll-On Transfers (again, I angled mine). Do the same for the bottom. Step 4 Create three title blocks by cutting blue cardstock 1 ¼" wide x 3 ¾" high . Print title letters or use stamps, stickers, rub-ons. Ink or chalk edges (optional). Step 5 Adhere photo and title blocks to background paper.
Step 6 Using the Clipper,- attach a patriotic clip to the side of your title block. Punch out or stamp a star on cream paper, ink edges and adhere a Paper Treat microdot. Adhere to the bottom right of your photo mat. Adhere burlap rick-rack to the bottom of the layout and attach a soft brad. Stitch the left side of your layout. Stand back and admire your new layout!
