Step-by-Step: Boys of Summer
The first thing that I thought of when I saw these fun bright papers from Same-Differences was summer! I was inspired to create a mini accordion album using some leftover photos of my boys from last summer. This is an easy project that you can duplicate within an hour or less! Supplies: - 4 sheets of patterned paper by Same-Differences (Everyday Stripes and Everyday Dots)
- small piece of black cardstock
- KI Memories letter stickers
- Li'l Davis chipboard letter "S"
- Sakura Souffle pen (white)
- American Crafts ribbon
- blue and lime ribbon from Same-Differences
- Pebbles Real Life Labels stickers
- epoxy stickers - unknown
- silver brads from Same-Differences
- Memories black ink
- decorative scissors (postage stamp edge)
- stapler
Instructions: - Trim 2 sheets of striped patterned paper to 3 ½ inches by 12 inches and adhere them back to back. Fold the papers every 2 ¾" inches in alternating directions to form your book. Trim the back edge (which will be approximately 1" wide) using decorative scissors. Ink the edges with black ink.
- Cut one small strip of dotted patterned paper to 2 3/4" inches x ½ inch and trim the edges using decorative scissors. Add ink and adhere it to the 1st page. Cut 2 squares of lime dotted paper to 2 inches by 2 inches. Ink the edges and adhere to the 2nd and last pages. Add a strip of ribbon to the top of the 2nd and 3rd pages.
- Trim your photos and mat them with striped paper, ink the edges and adhere them to your pages.
- Add sticker labels and other embellishments.
- Fold the album allowing the decorative edge to fold over the cover approximately ½ inch.
- Add a strip of ribbon long enough to tie around the whole album.
- Create the title using letter stickers, chipboard letters and the Souffle pen.
- Tie the ribbon and you are done!
