Step-by-Step: Happy Girlie
I love creating layouts featuring my friend's baby girl, and this scrapbook page was no exception! What could be more fun than scrapping using pink hues, butterflies, and sparkles with a photograph of a smiling little girl? The following will guide you in creating a layout like this of your very own. Supplies: Instructions: - I first chose the brown cardstock to serve as the background for my layout. Then, I trimmed the green sheet of paper to fit inside of the brown cardstock, creating a "frame" look. (Note: I used distressing ink on almost every aspect of this layout.)
- Next, I placed the photo on my layout. To make the layout more fun, I placed it at an angle. Then, using decorative scissors, I cut the white embellishment, seen tucked under the right side of the photo.
- Then, I used the circle punch and punched four small circles from a sheet of scrap patterned paper. I made sure the colors coordinated. This is a great way to use up those scraps! I tucked the circles just under the photo, as seen.
- Next, I used Thickers to create the title. Notice the Heidi Swapp bling used on the "i"'s to give the title a little sparkle!
- Again using the Heidi Swapp bling, I jazzed up the chipboard butterflies. I peeled some bling off the sheet, and measured how many crystals I needed to cover the length of the "belly" of the butterflies. I then stuck the bling to the chipboard butterflies, and I had some pretty embellishments! I attached the butterflies to the layout as shown.
- Now, the only part left was to create the little word "flags" coming from the butterflies. I used the same green paper and the white Bazzill cardstock on which to stamp the words. I them trimmed the slips of paper, and cut the indents to make them look like "flags." I tucked them under the butterflies, and voila! I was all finished!
- Enjoy your girlie layout!
