Step-by-Step: Soccer Star
I have a confession to make. This is the first sports layout I have ever created. I am not a sports person and to be honest, I have never even had a yearning to do a sports page. I have a pile of photos of Charlotte playing soccer and I didn't know where to even start. The new Bo Bunny Press -Go Team Bleached Bare Naked Chipboard changed that for me. I knew I finally had a jumping off point to create my first sport-oriented layout! Here is how I made "Soccer Star" step-by-step. Supplies: Instructions: - Sand the Bo Bunny Chipboard pieces. Using the Sunset Orange dauber, paint two coats onto the chipboard pieces. Make sure that the paint is dry before painting the second coat.
- Cut out the word "star" from the Doodle Dude Rub-Ons and adhere to the chipboard star.
- Cut out and adhere random scrolls and star rub-ons from the Doodle Dude Rub-On Set to the Soccer title and the five points of the star. Set aside.
- Cut a 1" by 12" strip of the Orange Citrus paper. Ink edges with black ink. Adhere 2 ¼" from the top of the page.
- Cut a ¼" strip from the Black Grunge paper. Punch holes randomly and adhere on top of the orange paper. About 1/8" of orange should be peeking out from the top of the black paper.
- Mat two of the photos with the blue cardstock. Ink the edge of the mat with black ink. Adhere all four photos to the page, as shown.
- Ink the edges of "Soccer" title. Adhere the chipboard so that it slightly overlaps the left side of the top left photo.
- Adhere the Calypso circle so that it overlaps the bottom left photo and ½" of the Black Grunge background.
- Adhere the star so that it slightly overlaps the circle.
- Adhere Dymo journaling.
- Ink around the edges of the arrows with black ink. Place blue brads in the holes. Adhere the arrows to the layout using Glue Dots.
I hope this layout using the new Bo Bunny Bleach Naked Chipboard inspires you to make some fabulous sports pages of your own!!!
