Step-By-Step: Easter Frock

by Nora Noll (Mar 29, 2008)

Choosing colors from a photo is one of my favorite ways to pick a patterned paper to use on my layouts. When I saw the rich purples in the Sassafrass Lass Felicity Kit, I knew they would be perfect for the Easter photos of Charlotte that I had laying around all ready to scrap. Here is how I created this layout.

Supplies:

Instructions:

  1. Ink around the edges of a piece of yellow cardstock from the cardstock stack.
  2. Crop the photos to 3" by 6." Adhere to the cardstock background ½" from the top and 1 ½" from each side.
  3. From the Felicity Kit, tear off a purple strip from the die-cut trim sheet. Trim the strip to 9" and ink around the edges. Adhere to the bottom of the photos. The top edge will slightly overlap the photos.
  4. From the Felicity Kit, cut a piece of the Savor patterned paper into a 9" by 4" piece. Ink around the edges. Adhere below the die-cut trim.
  5. Cut a piece of the Paper Frill so that it is 9 ½" long. Adhere so that it overlaps the bottom of the die-cut trim.
  6. Adhere and journal on the memo journal box.
  7. Using stickers from the Felicity Kit and the American Crafts Thickers, adhere the title. Outline the purple letters with the black pen.
  8. Using the Glue Dots, adhere the buttons to the top left and right of the photos.
  9. Use the Making Memories brads as the flower centers and adhere using Glue Fots to the title letters. Voila! You are finished!

I hope you give this kit a try. You can create a ton of beautiful pages!
