Step-by-Step: First Kiss
I am usually a "one photo per layout" kind of gal but when I saw this series of photos of my daughter, I knew I had to scrap them all on one layout. I love using orange and am really into polka dot patterned paper right now. So, this Sassafras Lass Indian Summer patterned paper was perfect. With a little cropping I was able to get all three photos on one page without sacrificing a clean design. Let me show you how I did it. Supplies: Instructions: - Trim a sheet of 12" x 12" Butternut Souffle patterned paper (from the Sassafras Lass Indian Summer Collection) to 8 1/2" x11".
- Trim ivory cardstock to 5" x 11".
- Trim with scallop decorative scissors.
*tip: When cutting with decorative scissors, it can be tricky to get a straight cut. I have a great tip. Turn the paper over and draw lines with a ruler about 1/4 inch in from all sides. Use those lines as your cutting guide. Flip over your paper for perfectly straight decorative edges. - Adhere the scalloped strip of cardstock 1/2 inch from the right edge of the patterned paper.
- Trim all photos to 3" x 3".
- Adhere photos evenly spaced down the cardstock strip and slightly to the left.
- Place chipboard letter stickers for the title on the bottom lower left of the layout.
- Punch out the Indian Summer circle die cuts and add to the bottom right side of the cardstock strip.
- Add journaling to the bottom circle.
- Embellish photos with number stickers.
- Finish off the layout with a BasicGrey heart die cut topped with a red button.
