Step-by-Step: The Look

My youngest daughter Addison is such a serious baby. She has this one look that she gives all the time, and we call it, quite simply, 'the look.' I wanted to document that look of hers so I managed to capture it and then scrapped it. I tend to use a lot of white space on my layouts and I typically stay centered. For this layout I decided to go vertical and to the side. Join me as I take you step by step into this layout!

Supplies:

• Technique Tuesday - 12x12 Technique Tiles - FUNdamentals of Love
• Piggy Tales - Piggy Backs Collection Pack - Ba Ba Black Sheep Collection
• Bazzill Basics - 12x12 White Cardstock Pack
• gems
• Prima Say It In Crystals - Black Swirls

Instructions:

1. Place your photo at the center of the bottom of the paper, leaving enough room for two paper strips, and adhere. Trim two thin paper strips, tearing off the tops, and adhere next to the photo.
   
   
2. Cut a flower out of one of the designs from the Piggy Tales patterned papers to use as an embellishment. Adhere slightly above the photo and a little off center on the paper strips.
   
3. Adhere Prima Say It In Crystals swirls to the left of the flower.
   
4. To continue with the gem theme, add gems to the center of the flower for a little extra pop. Adhere with glue dots or your preferred adhesive!
   
   
   
5. Type your journaling on the computer and then trim it into a thin paper strip. Adhere your journaling strip above the flower and in line with the patterned paper strips.
