Step-by-Step: Toy Lollipop

The colors in the Sassafras Lass Daydream and Playtime kits are as sweet as candy! The soft but bright colors are perfect for adorable layouts of children, so I used a cute little photo of my friend's daughter with these papers. Below you will find the step-by-step instructions to create this layout on your own!

Supplies:

• Sassafras Lass Daydream Kit
• Sassafras Lass Playtime Kit
• corner rounder
• circle punch
• Tim Holtz Distress Ink

Instructions:

1. Trim the red Lip Smackers paper to 8 ½" x 11" and the Miss Molly circle paper to 7 ½" x 10".
2. Use your corner rounder on all four edges of the Miss Molly paper.
3. Ink edges of both sheets of paper with Tim Holtz Distress Ink and adhere the Miss Molly paper to the Lip Smackers paper as shown.
4. Now, cut a ½" x 7 ½" strip of the Doll Face paper. Ink the edges and adhere it near the bottom of your layout as shown. Use your circle punch on the Doll Face paper to create two circles. Ink the edges. These will be used later.
5. Now take your photo and use the corner rounder on the corners of the photo, and then ink all edges of the photo.
6. Next, create a photo mat for your photo using the Sweet Cakes paper. Again, use the corner rounder and ink on the photo mat. Also using the Sweet Cakes paper, create two hearts as shown on the layout. Make the larger one approximately one inch tall, and the smaller heart a half inch tall. Ink the edges, and save them for later.
7. Adhere the photo inside the mat, and the mat to the layout, as shown.
8. Next, take out the journaling block from the sheet of punch outs in the Playtime kit. Ink the edges, and adhere to the layout as shown. Make sure part of the right side is tucked under the photo.
9. Next, use the letter stickers from the Daydream kit to spell out your title.
10. You're almost done! The final steps are to add the embellishments you made out of the papers. Place the hearts below your title, and layer the blue circles above your photo. (Notice how they match the background paper?)
11. You're finished! Enjoy your layout!
