Step-by-Step: BE

by Sheredian Vickers (Dec 19, 2007)
A single photo can be displayed on a layout using just two strips of coordinating patterned papers and cardstock. The result will draw attention to your photo and create a striking page for your memory book.

Supplies:

Instructions:

  1. Trim a piece of cardstock to 6" x 7" to use for a photo mat.
  2. Use your computer to journal directly onto the cardstock mat. (Alternates: use your own handwriting, journal on transparency, use stickers or use a quote.)
  3. Adhere your photo to the right side of the photo mat leaving a 1/8" margin at the top, bottom and right side of the photo.
  4. Adhere the photo mat to the background cardstock 4½" from the top and 1½" from the right side.
  5. Cut two strips of coordinating patterned papers to 1½" x 8" and adhere to the left of the photo mat as shown on the layout.
  6. Use circle punches of various diameters to punch out three circles from different colors of cardstock. (I used 7/8", 1" and 1 1/8".)
  7. Adhere circles above the photo mat and adhere a button to each circle.
  8. Cut a title with Cricut using the Base Camp cartridge.
  9. Adhere the title to the page.
  10. Cut a 2" circle from cardstock and adhere the circle to the bottom right of the photo.
  11. Use a white Signo pen to journal on the circle.

I hope you'll enjoy using this layout for a special photo.
