Step-by-Step: Memories Photo Frame
I love making cute little decorative photo items to set around the house. This month, I used the Heidi Swapp Club Heidi September Kit to create an altered frame. Using goodies from the kit and just a few other supplies, you can create one of your very own! Supply List: Instructions: - You will first sand the edges of the frames from the kit. The frames you will be using for this project are: the thin red border, the light blue border, and the red frame with two cut outs (you will not see these cut outs, as this frame will get tucked behind the blue frame). If you like, you can also ink the edges, as shown.
- Next, adhere the thin red frame to the front of the blue frame using Zots just around the corners of the frame.
- Now, trim your photo to fit behind the blue border, and attach it on the back of the frame, again using Zots.
- It is time to embellish your frame! I used ribbon, a silhouette word and star, and red sticky dots to embellish my frame. I slid the ribbon under an unattached part of the red frame, tied a knot, and trimmed my ribbon. I repeated this with the other colors of ribbon. Next, I chose the word for the bottom of the photo, and stuck it on. If your words are not self-adhesive, just use a small glue dot. Then, I did the same with the blue star. Finally, I used the red sticky dots from the kit to accent the left side of the frame.
- Last, I attached the larger red frame to the back of the blue frame, offset, to give my project a little spunk!
