Step-by-step: A Mother’s Boy

Supplies:

• 2 sheets coordinating cardstock
• 2 sheets of coordinating patterned papers
• 3 buttons
• 6 brads

Instructions:

1. Trim a piece of cardstock to make a 10" x 8" mat and use a corner rounder to round the right top and bottom corners.
   
   
2. Use a computer to print the title directly onto the cardstock mat.
   
   
3. Adhere the mat to the background cardstock 1½" from the top and 1" from the left.
   
   
4. Trim two strips of patterned paper to ¾" x 7" and 1½" x 7".
   
   
5. Adhere the ¾" x 7" strip of patterned paper directly above the cardstock mat, with the left margins even.
   
   
6. Adhere the 1 ½" x 7" strip of patterned paper at the bottom of the cardstock mat, making sure the left margins are even.
   
   
7. Adhere the 5" x 7" photo onto the center of the cardstock mat.
   
   
8. Trim two strips of the second patterned paper to 1" x 7" and adhere one strip above the photo and one strip below the photo.
   
   
9. Place three brads on the cardstock mat in the upper right edge and three brads on the cardstock mat on the lower left edge as shown on the layout.
   
   
10. Arrange three buttons of different colors and sizes in the lower right.
