Step-by-Step: Family Love
In my estimation you can never have too many family-themed layouts. Family is important to me and I celebrate it throughout my scrapbooks. This photo of my brother, my mom and me is so special to me that it inspired yet another family-themed layout! Supplies: Instructions: - For the base of the layout use Bazzill black cardstock.
- Print a 5" x 7" photo and trim,l[K1] eaving a thin white border. Alternatively, mat a 5" x 7" photo on white cardstock.
- Using Crate Paper Samantha kit patterned paper, trim the red paper and the polka-dotted paper, making the red paper a bit larger than the polka dotted paper. Adhere to the layout.
- Paint the chipboard swirls from Fancy Pants black [K2] and set aside to dry.
- Mount an Imaginisce black flower in the lower left corner of the red patterned paper. Place two Imaginisce blank check flowers on each side of the black flower. Use some miscellaneous smaller flowers to layer and attach a Making Memories brad in the center.
- Adhere the photo with a small piece of cream-color notebook paper peeking out of the right edge for the journaling.
- Adhere the chipboard swirls on opposite corners of the flower cluster.
- Use a corner from a Rusty Pickle transparency sheet along the lower left corner of the photo for an extra touch of black and then use a Zig Millenium pen to outline the edge of the polka dot paper.
- Use the 7gypsies round flower stamp on a small piece of scrap patterned paper, write "Family" in the center and adhere in the title area.
- The "ove" in title is made from Scenic Route Redmond chipboard letters. To get a larger "L" for the title, I used a random chipboard letter from my stash.
- The finishing touch was a small flower stamp used around the cluster of silk flowers and two 7gypsies date stickers on the bottom of the journaling.
