Step-by-Step: Soccer Stars

by Tara Daigle (Nov 6, 2007)
I've always loved keeping up with the newest trends in the scrapbooking world and trying new techniques. But lately I've been drawn to simpler pages and quicker layouts. My latest layout is an example of a simple page that documents an important part of my children's life at this time - soccer. The layout was quick and easy and you can probably recreate it in less than 30 minutes.

Supplies needed:

Directions:

  1. Use a sheet of orange 12" x 12" cardstock for your background sheet. Ink the edges with black ink.
  2. Trim a sheet of blue cardstock to 11" x 11" inches and ink the edges with black ink. Then center the blue cardstock on the orange background sheet and adhere it.
  3. Next, ink the edges of a sheet of 8 ½" x 11" fawn cardstock and adhere it over the blue leaving a 1/2" border of blue at the top.
  4. Add two border stickers from the sticker sheet to the top and bottom of the fawn cardstock.
  5. Add your photos. I used two vertical 4" x 6" photos and matted them using the same color as the background cardstock and inked the edges to make them stand out against the lighter cardstock.
  6. After adding the photos, use a rub-on word and some sticker letters to create the title.
  7. Then add a journaling block and stickers.
  8. To finish it off, add buttons using Zots glue dots.
