Step-by-Step: Each Day I Love You More

by Nora Noll (Aug 25, 2007)

I am a very regimented scrapper. I tend to match my photos up with a specific story about an event or everyday moment. I rarely take a photo and just write about how it makes me feel. I challenged myself with this photo to write down my feelings on how having my daughter has changed my life for the better. I used the fun Girls Only Kit by Pebbles Inc. for most of this page. Here is how to create this layout step by step.

Supplies:

    • Cut one into an 8 ½" by 11" piece for background
    • Cut the second piece into a 4 ¼" by 4 ¾" piece for photo mat
  • Pebbles Inc. Girls Only Kit
    • Cut the Girls Only Mini Flowers patterned paper into an 5" by 11" piece
    • Cut the Girls Only Large Flowers patterned paper into a ¾" by 10" strip
    • Cut the Girls Only Stripes patterned paper into a 1 ¼" by 6" strip
    • Sticker from Sampler for title
  • 1 piece of Dark Pink Cardstock from Die Cuts With a View
    • Cut out a free-hand heart

Instructions:

  1. Print journaling onto the 8 ½" by 11" green cardstock. Ink the edges with Walnut Stain ink.
  2. Tear one of the 11" edges of Pebbles Mini Flower patterned paper. Ink the edges and adhere to the green background, just above the journaling.
  3. Ink the edges of the Pebbles Girls Only Large Flowers patterned paper. Adhere this strip so it is 4" from the bottom of the layout and the right edge is even with the right edge of the background.
  4. Ink Pebbles Girls Only Striped patterned paper strip. Adhere it so it is slightly overlapping the top of the Girls Only Large Flowers patterned paper. The right edge should be even with the right edge of the background paper.

  5. Take the small piece of green 4 ¼" by 4 ¾" cardstock and ink the edges. Adhere the photo to this.
  6. Adhere the photo corner to the bottom right edge of the photo.
  7. Adhere inked Heidi Swapp Capri Writers Block to the back of the photo, making sure ¼" of the flower square is showing from behind the upper right of the photo.
  8. Adhere the photo to the page 1" from the right and 1" from the top of the background paper. You will cover up most of the striped patterned paper, leaving only an inch showing.

  9. Ink the edges of the large flower. Using glue dots, adhere to the page. The flat end of the flower will be touching the left edge of the photo.
  10. Ink the edges of the Sampler title sticker. Adhere to the page so that the left edge is even with the left edge of the photo. The bottom of the sticker will slightly overlap the large flower patterned paper.
  11. Ink the edges of the pink heart. Using the brown pen, doodle around the edges of the heart. Adhere the heart so that it is tilted to the left and the bottom slightly overlaps the title sticker.
  12. Adhere the round flower sticker, overlapping the heart and the title sticker.
