Step-by-Step: Hello Spring
If you live in a place where the winter months are long and the snow is deep, you know the welcome feeling of springtime, a time when the flowers and trees start to come alive at a slow, steady pace. One thing that I have noticed about spring is that it only seems to take a couple of tulips waving gleefully in the sunshine to change a whole mass of attitudes. In keeping with that view of life, I created the following layout to reflect the simplicity of this rejuvenating season. Supplies: Instructions: - To start, cut a 4" x 4" piece of the yellow paper and a 5/8" by 7 1/4" strip of the pink stripe paper. Using a corner rounder, punch the lower right side of the pink paper.
- Glue the yellow paper 1" in from the right edge and 5/8" down from the top edge of the cardstock. Then adhere the pink strip ½" in from the right edge, matching the top of the yellow paper and overlapping it slightly.
- Use the corner rounder to punch the top left corner of your main photo. Trim an additional supporting photograph to the desired size. (Mine is cut 4 1/8" by 3 3/4".)
- Glue the main photo to the cardstock 1" down from the top edge and 1" in from the left edge of the page.
- Cut the Frill to 6" in length, saving the other piece for an future project. Putting adhesive on the wrong (colored) side, adhere it white-side-up 1/4" below the photo. Then glue the second photo in place by lining it up with the bottom and side edges of the pink stripe paper.
- Punch a 1 3/8" circle from a scrap of white grid patterned paper. Glue it above the lower right photo about 1/8".
- From the cardstock sticker sheet, cut the flower shape out of the center of the yellow block and stick it down in the center of the punched circle shape. Add the yellow verse sticker below the decorative frill, about 1/4" from the left of the bottom photo. Use a mini glue dot to attach the butterfly button on the left side of the verse sticker, placing it slightly off the edge and onto the cardstock.
- Choose the correct letter stickers to spell out the word "hello" at the top right edge of the main photo. Then add the "spring" word sticker below it to complete the title.
- Add the date beside to the right of the bottom photo with a pen.
