Step-by-Step: Hot Fun
I have so many beach photos it's absurd. They are by far my favorite kind of photo to take. But with another summer vacation just a few short weeks away, I really needed to get some of them scrapped. Here is an attempt at tackling my ever-growing pile of beach photos. With this layout, I started with my favorite supply, white cardstock. I just love the way beach photos pop off a white background. Supplies: Instructions: - I cropped each of the four photos to 3" x 3".
- I matted the focal point photo with a ¼-inch mat of blue cardstock.
- To create the waves in the yellow cardstock, I used my Creative Memories Wavy Cutting Tool and Cutting System. Then I trimmed the yellow cardstock to 3" x 8".
- I adhered the yellow cardstock about an inch from the top and bottom and centered on the white cardstock.
- I evenly spaced my photos so that there was an ½-inch in between all four photos.
- A Heidi Swapp Circle Writers Block fit perfectly in the center of the photos. I added a blue velvet Making Memories sticker and some journaling, and accented it with American Crafts chipboard suns.
- Colorful buttons from the craft store placed in the waves provided the perfect playful finishing touch.
