Step by Step: Peso
With our recent addition of an adorable Boston Terrier puppy named Peso comes lots and lots of pictures. He's almost getting as much recognition as my three kids. Really he's my fourth! For this layout I did something extra and added a bit of type to my picture for a fun look. Read on to learn how to recreate this layout step by step. Supplies: Instructions: - For the blue background cardstock use your Precision Pen to draw a thin line around the edge of the paper. Then, ink the edges of the cardstock with ColorBox French Blue chalk ink.
- Cut an 11" by 7 ½" piece from the Dog Paws paper. Detail edges with pen and ink in French Blue. Adhere to blue cardstock 2 ½" from the top and ½" from the side.
- Cut a 10 ½" by 6 ½" piece from the Dog Bones paper. Use deckle or grass blade decorative edge scissors to trim bottom of paper. Detail edges with pen and ink in Chestnut. Adhere to Dog Paws paper 1 ½" from the top and ½" from the side.
- Next cut a 1 ½" by 12" strip from the Dog Stripes print paper. Detail edges with pen and ink with Lime ink. Adhere to paper about ½" from the bottom of the Bones paper. Add photo. (I used my Adobe Photoshop program to add the text quote on the photo before printing.)
- Add red brads, one in each corner of the Dog Bones paper.
- Add Heidi Swapp photo corner to Dog Paws paper.
- Adhere green stitched rubons across the page. If you have a sewing machine you could sew this instead.
- Add round dog and puppy stickers from the Pebbles kit to the bottom left side.
- Last cut a 2" strip of red cardstock. Trim bottom edge with wide scallop scissors. Detail edge with pen and ink with Warm Red. Adhere to page.
